Workshop Overview

Learn how modern day VideoGames are created and engineered, how security framework works & how to bypass them, how to crack modern day videogames & bypass licenses. Learn to create additional content for the game, finding out keywords and in memory variables for resource hacking into the games. Not only that but the workshop will also revolve around creation of wallhacks, aimbots and other hacks for multiplayer games such as CSGO, Valorant, etc. We will also be dissecting how Valorant works as a spyware.

Abstract

The workshop is a research cum analysis of Video Games and how they are created. The workshop will revolve around how modern video games are engineered, what security measures are taken and how game launchers work. The topic will not only cover how these games are cracked and security frameworks are bypassed but would also cover the pentesting aspect of the same.

DetailEd Description

This workshop aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to identify, analyze, and secure video game environments. We will start with an overview of the gaming ecosystem, discussing the intricacies of game development, networking, and multiplayer environments. From there, we will delve into the methodologies and tools used by ethical hackers to uncover vulnerabilities in video games.

With reverse engineering included, the workshop would also take several reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis practical machines so that participants can try and learn in real time, hence making the workshop advanced and highly technical with proper hands-on.

By the end of the talk, attendees will gain practical knowledge on leveraging open source tools to detect threats in the modern videogames and also how modern day security frameworks like Denuvo, VanGuard can be bypassed. This will empower participants to strengthen their security posture and stay ahead of evolving threats.

The workshop will start with basic introduction of Video Game Architecture, Client Server Model of online multiplayer games and then will delve into Game Engines. This will lead us to uncover vulnerabilities of Graphic based libraries and create ESP Wall Hacks. After that we will checkout some case studies on vulnerabilities based on Unreal Engine and Unity. This will be just the 30% of the workshop.

Prerequisite Knowledge

Participants should know basics of Cybersecurity, Networking and Linux. They should have Kali Linux installed in their laptops. They need to bring the laptop. All the content, code and tools will be provided through a USB Drive during the workshop.

Key Takeaways

By the end of the workshop, students will be able to understand the key concepts of Game Hacking, could focus on pentesting into video games, could be able to bypass security frameworks of certain games and create different level of hacks/mods. This would give them exposure into a new and upcoming field of pentesting as well.
